Dr. Elise Saulsberry brought a transformative word to our Bold Truths & Sacred Spaces community. Her teaching on the Theology of True Belonging pushed us beyond the idea of simple inclusion and into a deeper, more sacred understanding of what it means to honor the divine worth in every person.
She invited us to examine the emotional walls we build — the ones we believe are protecting us — and helped us see how those same walls can quietly block connection, growth, and the belonging our spirits are craving.
Dr. Elise reminded us that healthy belonging is not passive. It requires discernment. It requires boundaries. And sometimes, it requires the courage to walk away from spaces that harm our mental or spiritual well‑being.
This session stretched us, grounded us, and called us into a more honest relationship with ourselves and our communities.
